1. There are lots of foreign students at LSU who are good at soccer. I used to see them all the time kicking a soccer ball around when I was in school and I still see some of them playing soccer sometimes when I drive on Nicholson Dr north of the PMAC. Some of them can kick the ball pretty damn good. I would round up the best of them and give them tryouts at placekicker. I'll bet there is somebody on campus who dosen't know a football from a pinata or a pina colada but who could become LSU's all time greatest kicker.
  2. Kicking a football and soccer ball are two different things. I bet Chris Jackson could kick the sh*t out of a soccer ball.
  3. :dis:
  4. But could he put it through the uprights? Look at all the foreign guys who have been great NFL kickers. Most of them had no football background before they starting kicking a football.

Jan Stenerud, Morton Andersen, the Gramatica brothers, Garo Ypremian... the list goes on and on. What do they have to lose? One of LSU's best ever kickers was a Cuban guy from Miami named Juan Roca who played during the Cholly Mac era. His longest was about 54 yards.
  5. remember the NFL went on that 'kick' of soccer styler players in the 80s. However, they discovered whether you're a euro or from the states, pressure is a bitch. We have many people who can kick the crap out of the ball in practice all over the US....start now if you have a child and keep him in a straight jacket...force him or her to be a kicker. Invite ex nfl players over to knock them over on each kick.
  6. What pressure? If you're from a country where the fans might kill you for a bad play or for scoring a winning goal in a road game the pressure of getting booed by a few thousand people is nothing.

  7. lol not sure i guess its pressure from not enough danger? Let's release Mike and see. Bring in Rafael Septien for practice with the Tiger. Isn't he a pedophile?
  8. I heard that his favorite snack was Little Debbie.

  9. Nick's too, actually.
  10. the best thing for saban

to do is get a couple of delay of game penaltys and move the ball back to about the 20 yrd line.
