Five games into the season, and we don't really know how good of a team we have. Today was really quite revealing.

Preseason ended last week. The real season began today, and if this is any indication, we can expect a few more losses.

Mauck had it easy last year. He faced two quality opponents and won one and lost one (loss-at Va. Tech; win-at Fla.) before his season ended. He didn't face the tough part of the schedule.

A lot of people made Randall the scapegoat for last years collapse down the stretch. Marcus played in the tough games. Mauck had the cream puff part of the schedule.

LSU has played two quality opponents to this point, both Mauck and the offense have struggled in both. We were lucky to beat Georgia, and our offense never even mustered a threat of scoring in this game.

What is even scarier to think about is that we had Davis and Toefield in the backfield, and that couldn't prevent last season's collapse. Who do we have now? Carey's hurt and now Addai's hurt. This might be a repeat of last year.

Man you are right. It's easy to be depressed after today.

I wish somebody would say something to cheer us up.

This should cheer you up. I drove past Saban's house tonight and there was no For Sale sign in his yard.

Why be depressed? You can still win the SEC
