They are more accurate at fiscal predictions than the white house or congress, but that's like being the smartest kid on the short bus. Not something your parents really brag about.

after reading up on it, i feel a little better about ss. didnt realize they havent gone into the trust fund yet. their projection, as weak as it may be, for 2037 is only the date when the trust fund will be depleted. and then that is the point where benefits have to be reduced. although it seems like they should do that sooner.

 

We should stop paying every freaking scum bag in this country to sit at home on their fat asses and squirt out more kids. Work or starve. Family and church can take care of the ones who can't work. A guaranteed check just for being born is crazy.

There is no "trust fund". Social security is just another way to take from those that currently have and give to those too lazy to pay their own way or that were too stupid to plan for the future.

We shouldn't feel like our country owes us anything. Actually, we owe our country for the right to prosper as long as we're willing to work for it. Believing somebody owes you something just because you're American isn't American. Well, it used to not be.

Medicare taxes
