This is a political statement, so don't delete it. So, why is this board dead? Simple, really... Because people of minority opinions get tired of coming here, presenting arguments, and then being greeted with little more than obscenities and various other personal attacks. Then those immature attackers reward themselves with some green stars in a very unfortunate "reputation" system that only encourages more of that sort of activity. It's not enough to simply erase personal attacks from these types of boards... the activity should be discouraged and even punished. Messages like "you're just an unAmerican asswipe who rejoices when our soldiers die" is not the stuff of political debate. It's only hate speech. Now, here comes the inevitable immature "if you don't like it, leave" crap. But it sure looks a lot of people have done just that, and that's sad. How is this a political post? Because the activity here is typical of rightwing, fascist activity elsewhere. Don't like an opinion? Smear the person who gives it, and if you try hard enough you'll kill not only the opinion but the speaker along with it.

Nah, I can handle all of that. In fact, I fully expect it. When I don't post much here, it's either because a) I am pre-occupied, or b) I refuse to rehash the same argument as the previous week/day (most of the time). And sometimes, I just don't care all that much about the subject at hand (see: 'Blind Nationalism' post). Trust me, all the flack that I take around here will never cause me to leave.

Rex, you should have a thicker skin with your inflammatory style of posting. I'm not among the political right-wingers you talk about, and I argue with them all of the time. But they rarely attack me personally (OK, Tirk still does). And I don't flame-bait them either. You often do. And yes, they often respond with childish taunts. Just ignore them as you would a child. Put the worst offenders on your ignore list and they disappear like magic. Otherwise it would seem that you like the tart responses your tart posts often receive. The mods will continue to delete personal attacks--they are violations of the user agreement. You should read it again. Your last posts were deleted also because of user agreement violations. You criticised Brett and the mods publicly, instead of in a PM. Nobody gets deleted because of their politics on FSA. If somebody attacks you, then report the post and a mod will get to it in time and delete it. We aren't online 24/7 and can't do it instantly. A mod deleted the post that upset you last time, but it took a awhile and you tee'd off on Brett and Tigerforums.com in the meantime. Good to see you back. Chill out and just ignore the Hitler Youth.
