even though I don't call people here names, don't attack the character of anybody here , support my opinions thoroughly and articulately...

Is it because you find me haughty?

Is it any wonder so many Swift Boat Vets conspired against John Kerry? It's a typical Republican neurosis: an apparent need to band together to smear the enemy.

    thanks, martin...

Even though I think this "reputation points" thing is a bit silly....

I've been given negative points because of my political positions.... lovely.

no because your views are so skewed and misrepresented not only of our military but the world in general that even dumb people can see it and dislike you because of it. I can't say I blame them. What am I saying....hell, I'm one of 'em.

i dont see any problems with giving negatives for having opposing political opinions. i have done it to you, as well as recieved it for my wild libertarian atheism. its like politics, the guy with the most support generally has the views most agreeable to the masses, but not necessarily the best views.

and also what tirk said. if go so far as to believe stupid lies like election conspiracies and such, then you really are just being a lunatic.

    I guess, then,

that I don't know what this reputation system is supposed to achieve or represent.

I suppose it's like the denial you have when you look at the election map and see all that red, you don't get it.

    NOBODY LIKES YOU........................GET IT :thumb:

isnt it obvious? it represents who says the most stuff that pleases the masses, for whatever reason.

i dunno what you expect. if we had a real system where people were rewarded for really being right or articulate or smart or having opinions with merit, we should use this system to elect a world hegemon, because this board would be the first such system in history.
