If he did twist things a bit, wouldn't he be worried about losing credibility? like someone we all know:shock: . Yet, I guess in this crazy world of recruiting anything is possible. You can and should never say never.

Well, if Davis did do something like that, he would be jerking with the fans emotions which is not too nice; and therefore I wouldn't care for him to become a Tiger. IF he didn't, then it is the rumor spreaders who are jerks.

Come on, amigo. You are getting personally offended because a young man is trying make a career decision? He doesn't owe anything to Tiger fans. Perhaps he reads things like this and wonders if he wants to play for such fans.

No I am not really offended. I respect his need to make his career decision. What I am getting at is the process of him allegedly twisting things around. I do not think I have made any judgements on him yet, as I do not know what the truth of the whole matter is. I had only indicated my feelings had he done it, as I was hoping all the LSU recruits would be of high character. In fact, some fans on another web site have already started to jump on him prematurely , and I made a post defending his position as nothing was proven yet.

If I have to bet on it, I would like to think that he didn't go. The whole thing is just too strange.

Terry may know but I am still being told as of a few minutes ago (bammer homer co-worker calling to rub it in about the Saints...rrr) that both Davis and Blackwell were at Alabama. Furthermore, he says the winds of change are brewing. As it relates to all the stuff this guy tells me, Ive said it before, take it with a grain of salt.

Sidell Corley took his visit to Bama this weekend. This is one of his comments

Marquis Maze was also at Bama this weekend and in a different article he was quoted as saying this:
I think that clears up any question as to if LD really went to Bama

Depends on how you look at it...seems to me he would be writing to his audience.

Here's the thing I don't see people mentioning. If a kid decides to leave his home state and go to another school, majority of the time you'll see the whacko's come out and give the kid all kinds of hell.

A prime example of this is McKnight. It's my understanding he has a visit scheduled 2/2...but, Curtis told him not to announce it publically because of the flak he would start getting from fans.

I've seen it happen to kids leaving Alabama...heard of it happening to kids from other states...it just happens.

Yesterday, in another thread, I mentioned this...it was what I was hearing Friday, and had people telling me yesterday they had seen both on campus.

FWIW, one of the other recruits was quoted as saying he had a good time with Luther today.

I suspect, it was an un-official visit...gives lee-way to both sides on how it is reported. Consider, he tells Mike S. he isn't going to take an official visit...

Luther texted Sonny in the morning saying he had a funeral to go to & was not in Alabama. Then last night, Sonny called Luther & Luther said that he had not gone to Alabama, that it was a joke... It also looks like Luther may have lied to the LSU coaches as well. So when I said Davis didn't go to Alabama, that is why.

It has been confirmed that he was indeed at Bama though.

We'll have to wait & see how the coaches handle this.

In that statement right there is where you are missing it. I don't know if it's by choice, or not seeing the picture as it truly is.

If you choose to think the team of '06 was broken, I'll agree with you. But, the broken parts have been replaced.

If you ask the majority, they'll tell you (and not talking Alabama fans) with the right staff in place, '06 wouldn't have ended as it did..neither would the '05 season.

I don't mind if any of our recruits visit Bama or any other school, but if things were really handled this way, I have to say it bothers me. I know this is kid we are talking about but it is still troubling. CParso is right, the coaches are the only ones we can rely upon now.

Do you know if Blackwell was there too? I cant understand this kid at all. Why did he say all those things about $aban, how cocky he was. How LSU was going to beat them and all that. Then go for a visit? Im not sure I really want him playing for LSU. He has a lot of the same snake like characteristics that $aban has. He might be better off at Bama. Althogh Id hate to see $aban win out and get Davis.
