Didn't ya'll know that Skyler was baiting Georgia with all of his 5 or 6 dropped passes before the td catch? He had UGA thinking, don't cover me, I can't catch, but then turned on the burners. SARCASM added for emphasis.
He even fooled me. When I saw Mauck sling the ball towards the endzone, I sat up and said aloud, "Please don't let Syler be back there!" ...almost hit the floor when I saw it WAS HIM and then almost hit the celing when he caught it! I tell ya, I went from, "NO! NOT SKYLER!" to "YOU DA MAN, SKYLER!!!!" in about a nano second! Amazing how one good--scratch that, great play makes you forget about the bad ones.
When I saw Mauck sling it I was like hopefully this is Skyler so he can get some redemption. I was happy with how he played overall because he basically carried the passing game seeing that Clayton was being smothered by UGA's gameplan and Henderson was MIA.
I'm extremely happy for Skyler, that was an excellent play and great focus. I was kind of hoping one of the freshman receivers had caught it, but either way it's great. The next most important game is Mississipi State, hope no one forgets that.
