I can understand that he's one of Saban's former players but as the Beach Boys so eloquently said, be true to your school, man.

However, that's his choice to make, and I find it hard to fault him. Afterall, he does say right after that that he hopes LSU makes it to the national championship.

Re: Skyler Green is dead to me

Saban was responsible for molding Skyler for the majority of his collegiate career, so naturally he feels some sort of allegiance to him. However, it's important to not take this out of context.

If you read all of the quotes from him, he's obviously conflicted about who to root for. Does he root for the father figure coach that sculpted him into the player he is today? Does he root for his alma mater that gave him the shot to play? Again, as I said above, he does say in one sentence that he is going to pull for his former coach, but in the very next sentence he begrudgingly states that he wants Saban to win, but he also wants LSU to win a national championship.

I'm sure he feels conflicted because he has allegiance to both his former coach and his former school.

I'd have a tough time deciding between pulling for my old High School Coach, and my old High School.

Coach was big part in making me the PERSON I am today.
