Brady has been our coach for a long time now and other than 2000 we have had nothing but awful or just bad teams. Now he doesnt have the scholarship thing to fall back on anymore. Tim Floyd was a great college coach and just ended up in an awful situation in Chicago, lets get him into town.
Looks very possible that Brady and Mark Gottfreid will be competing against each other in the Southland or Big South type conference in the next few years.
Did a good job at UNO and put Iowa St. in the top 10. Then went to the Bulls and took over after Jordan, Phil Jackson and the rest of the team left. He gets mentioned so often because he lives in Louisiana and would likely take the job if offered. Any coach with NBA experience can be considered a big name coach and LSU really needs a big name coach to get fans excited about this program again.
Tim Floyd was the coach at Iowa State for awile and did a bang up job with their program. I believe they went to the Final Four at least once. And this is at Iowa State of all places. he was hired to be Phil Jackson's replacment in Chicago before MJ retired again and ended up with the NBA's worst team. Also the owners forced him to run Phil Jackson's offense even though eh didnt want to. Anyway he didnt do too bad considering what he had to work with but got fired last year. Now he has no job.
That is simply not true. Floyd has never said that. His dream job has been and always will be the LSU Basketball job. He was the hand-picked successor to Dale Brown prior to the probation situation and turned down the opportunity here because of the money and the probation. Instead he took the money at Chicago. He has incredible connections with the Louisiana Basketball coaches on a state-wide level and more importantly he has has something that Brady completely lacks--a Public Relations dream image whereas Brady is a Public Relations nightmare. Regardless Floyd never stated those words--he is friendly with Brady but he is not "Best Friends" and would take the job away from Brady in a heartbeat. So No his name is not a moot point.
