Six Years Later, Sanchez Plays New Role in Return to Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. -- In 2002, LSU Volunteer Assistant Coach Javi Sanchez was*the starting shortstop on Paul Mainieri's Notre Dame Irish squad that advanced to the College World Series. Six years later, the Miami native played a key role in LSU's return to Rosenblatt Stadium.
