I just saw on ESPN where one of the bass fishermen in the Bass Masters Classic in Louisiana was break dancing while they weighed his catch of the day. I didn't make this up. It really happened. Also the other day while driving on Highway One though the town of Plaquemine I noticed in the front yard of a very nice looking old restored home there was a huge bronze gorilla in the yard. It was about 3 or 4 times as big as a real gorilla. If you don't believe me go see it for yourself. If I had had my camera with me I would post a picture of it here.
Gorilla Yeah Bengle B I saw that the other day when going to a wedding. My wife said "Oh my god, look at that!" We figured maybe it was some kind of a frat prank. But undoubtably it really is a yard ornament!
Strange Gorilla........ On Highland, here in BR, there is a house (big to say the least) up on a bluff that has 2 lakes in front of it. One of the ponds has an island in the middle of it with a life size copper statute of an indian shooting a bow and arrow straight up in the air. Also, up on the bluff next to the house is a copper statue of a Rooster....damn thing has to be 5' tall. There are some other statues as well but can't remember what they are. Someone else might.
I live right around there...and I've seen both the rooster and the indian shooting the bow. ...very odd
Amazing that as many times as I have driven past that house I have never noticed the rooster. I wonder if the people who live there are related to the people in Plaquemine with the gorilla.
Drove by this morning on the way into work. With all the vegetation growth, the rooster is kinda hard to pick out right now unless you know exactly where it is. far right of the property just before the tree-line.
