Auburn is the subject of the latest Southeastern Conference, off-the-field scandal and is expected to be the best on the field when the 2006 SEC season closes. On the heels of a recent New York Times story and an internal investigation into alleged academic fraud concerning football players and an apparently helpful sociology professor, the Auburn football team received the most first-place votes from reporters at the SEC Media Days that concluded Friday.
