Apparently, LSU's reputation precedes its 2008 season. The Tigers, unranked and with four losses for the first time this early in a season since 1999, are still the defending national champions and remain in the picture for an appearance in the Jan. 1 Outback Bowl in sunny Tampa, Fla., as well as the Jan. 2 Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
