BATON ROUGE - While true freshman quarterback Jordan Jefferson is expected to see playing time now in light of starter Jarrett Lee's struggles, No. 2 quarterback Andrew Hatch is not expected to get more time. "I don't know that it necessarily means an expanded role for Hatch," LSU coach Les Miles said at his press luncheon Monday. "To me, I think it would stand as is. Jordan is obviously one of the three that we would have to get ready, and I'd like to see in certain situations kinda what he could do." Jefferson has played briefly against North Texas and Mississippi State this season, but Miles had hoped to redshirt him because of a shoulder injury suffered against State. Only that was before Lee threw his seventh, eighth and ninth interceptions of the season in the 52-38 loss to Georgia on Saturday, including his third and fourth that were returned for touchdowns. "I think Jordan Jefferson probably comes in to play here a little bit more readily," Miles said. "I think we look to see if he can come in and at times give us some youth and some speed." A reporter asked Miles if he really meant that because Miles had said several times before this season and early this season that Jefferson was going to play at a significant juncture, but he never did. "Yeah, we'll look at Jordan," Miles said. No. 15 LSU (5-2, 3-2 Southeastern Conference) hosts Tulane (2-5) at 7 p.m. Saturday. Link To Original Article
