    The much-troubled Jarrett Lee is not the first redshirt freshman to start at quarterback for LSU. Just four years ago when LSU was also a defending national champion, JaMarcus Russell started four games and played in 11. He shared time almost equally with senior Marcus Randall and struggled often.
