Marcus Thornton knew Butch Pierre used to play point guard at Mississippi State, but he didn't know he was so quick. "He kept walking and running back and forth at the bench before the game and during the game," Thornton said of Pierre's debut as interim head coach on Saturday when the Tigers lost 47-45 to No. 7 Tennessee in the Assembly Center.
