I took a ride on the streetcar Friday, and it was a journey of rediscovery. Other than a ride I took maybe 20 years ago to introduce my wife and kids to the pleasures of a streetcar ride, it was the first time I'd ridden in a streetcar since I did so daily in my commute from Uptown New Orleans to Jesuit High School.
