RS almost qualifies as LSU's "Invisible Man," given the few plays he was given over his career here. Can't blame him for trying to catalyze a different pathway for himself. Not surprised at the timing...something wicked was unleashed before the NCG that is now ramifying and resonating throughout the program.
:geaux: If he busted butt between now & next season he could develop a lot, IMO. I can see being frustrated, but if he hasn't been successful in college up to this point, how the hell does he think he's gonna be successful in the NFL? :dis: Hopefully he'll chill out a bit, think about it, and decide that he's not quite ready to play on Sunday's yet. Because he's not. :LSU231:
C'mon man. You can't even begin to want to go there. My level of pisstivity reached a never before seen level when he threw that tantrum after ware didn't catch that hot potato that was thrown at his back. If that doesn't tell you everything you need to know about JJ then perhaps you should see the "Yeah I thought I made some good plays" comments. This pos cant get out of town fast enough for me. I hope the students are giving him crap, I hope the media gives him crap, I hope his parents are giving him crap, I hope he reads the crap that I'm typing and wants to come and kick me in the head (I would welcome the challenge). IOW Phuck Jordan "I'm a punk ass biotch with NO leadership skills" Jefferson.
I wouldn't say he was a bust, hard to call him a bust if he wasn't incorporated into enough of the offense to fail. Look I love RS and glad he came here. To my knowledge he has never said anything bad about the program and in fact has always had positive stuff to say until he complained about not getting much PT in the NCG and I can't blame him. Bottom line is dude is small. Too small to play WR in the NFL. The fact that he has trouble catching the ball is only fuel to the "he will go un-drafted" fire!
I'm with you 100% and to add one more thing I think we were lacking a good WR coach to coach him up and get him up at the WR position. So long Billy Gonzalez !!!
Which is what I figured. If he wants to take care of his mom the way he says he does then someone had better get in his ear quickly and tell his ass to stay in school and get a degree.
Everyone keeps mentioning that something must be going down behind the scenes, as if there's some big drama going on. Until more concrete info comes out, I'm not so sure... Anyone consider that Shepard still loves LSU, but maybe he'd been planning to leave after this season for a long time already? Hell, I bet all #1 recruits coming out of high school PLAN to go to the NFL before their senior season. Why wouldn't they?! (That's rhetorical) In addition, there may be a chance that Shep's decision was influenced by the fact that LSU just lost WR coach Billy Gonzales.
He has a history of overreacting and letting his emotions get the best of him. He usually comes to his senses but he needs to work harder to be a goto guy or even a starter. Can't have that mentality that he already knows it all already which has plagued him since being here.
what's the average salary of a college grad, like $30K? $40K? a player on an NFL practice squad makes a minimum salary of $88K a year, many are paid more. and if he makes the active roster, he gets a minimum salary of $285K/year as a rookie, and many are paid more that's really good money. he can always go back and get his degree if he doesn't make it in football
