I'd love to see some follow-up to that event. I'm not surprised that, at the time, police supported security. Police officers are generally going to assume that civilians hired to provide security at an event are behaving correctly, and will back them up unless they witness a problem. It could be a different story if the camera folk went to police the following day and showed them their evidence. And, as someone pointed out on the BR/acorn event thread, we don't know what was happening when the camera was turned off, or what they edited out.
