could we here ANY MORE about david pollack. The media has been kissing this guy's ass for the past two seasons, and now we are fortunate enough to here about him for another year. EVEN after having a decline from his performance in 2002, and a flops in the two losses to LSU, the media will still be head up his ass.

This guy is a joke. okay he had like 14 sacks in 2002, WHAT HAS HE DONE SINCE THEN???

but in the great words of Kirk Herbstreet, 8 times outta 10, georgia woulda won that ballgame.....:geaux:

I agree. All SST talked about was how GREAT Pollack is and he didn't have numbers because he was always double teamed. I call BS!!:dis:

Georgia gets to keep Pollack, but loses Sean Jones.

Some guys just get more press than others, but Sean Jones was the real deal and should be very impressive within the NFL.

I wouldn't call the guy a joke. I wouldn't be suprised if he just had a down year last year and rebounds big time this year. Just because we dominated him this year doesn't mean we don't have to worry when we play them in Athens.

    I agree...

The Georgia defensive line is going to be stronger than it was last season. The linebacker group will be strong.

The big question mark is the defensive backfield.........

Sean Jones is leaving for the NFL.
DeCory Bryant, who played in Baton Rouge, but missed the SEC CG was a senior.
    Kentrell Curry was a senior.
    Bruce Thornton was a senior.

Thomas Davis, a converted linebacker, will probably stay at the Rover position. Tim Jennings and Greg Blue are good, but not as good as the players that are leaving.

This is the area that concerns me the most.
The other areas of the team should be in better shape than last season, especially if Georgia can avoid the huge injury lists of 2003.

Mauck passes for 300+ yards in Athens while Justin runs for 125. Tigers beat Georgia third straight time, 34-17.

Chad also blocked a kick and Pollack did not. But I think for having a bad year Pollack did o.k considering he played the entire year with a hurt foot. The question is was this a down year for him or was 2002 a fluke when he had incredible numbers? I mean 102 tackles for an interior lineman is unbelievable, as well as the TFL, 35 QB hurries and the sacks, etc. He also had 2 bloked kicks in 2002.

I would rather that he didn't come back so we wouldn't have to face him again next year myself but you have to give the guy his due.
