I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere but does anybody think that Michael Clayton might be used on a few plays on defense to shadow OU's Mark Clayton? The Tiger D has very few weaknesses but on a few occasions has been vulnerable to the long pass, an OU specialty. This is the game for all the marbles and its time to pull out all the stops. It wouldn't surprise me if Nick has something like this up his sleeve that OU wouldn't have prepared for.

Actually, Nick Saban was asked this question a couple weeks ago. Now, he may be keeping his gameplan secret, but he said that Clayton would not be used on defense. Let's see what happens.

Clayton might have the most athletic tallent on the field but the question really is after 13 games would he do a better job than the guys that have been doing it all year and have the D ranked #2 overall?

Unless we have an injury or if OU is killing us I think Saban will go with what got us here.

I do hope Nick and Jimbo have a few plays in thier bag of tricks
just in case we have trouble moving the ball, or whatever reason.

Despite what some people think you never know what could happen.

Maybe a 40-0 game or a 3-0, field goal made with no time left

anyway, if he was to play on defense he would be put in at safety, not corner.

Wherever he would be put, he would be extremely dangerous. When he played at Christian Life, he would play both quarterback and corner. He intercepted my high school's last hope for a win against them my freshmen year.

If it comes down to the end, I wouldn't be surprised to see him play some safety, but otherwise, I think it is wise to keep him safe on the sideline with the offense.
