    "Nit" and "pick" are actually separate words. However, the proper use of "nitpick" is indeed one word.

    Sorry to nitpick your nitpicking my nitpick, but the opportunity was to good to pass up.

    EDIT: Just read the rest of the thread -- I was not trying to brink anyone down. Honestly. I was just trying to have a bit of fun (hence my addition of Mississippi State as Lebanon). If I offended anyone, sorry.
