Here are some amusing stories about what goes when these coaches get together. Spurrier vs. Fat Phil, Les vs. Saban, and Saban vs. Richt. Les Saban are being cordial. But look what Saban said to Richt in front of reporters.:hihi: http://www.shreveporttimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070531/SPORTS0202/305310005/1028
I don't know how valid this is, since to my knowledge, Hebron is still in good academic standing at UGA, but will attend Georgia Military in Milledgeville for the coming year. I'm kind of glad that Richt stood his ground with Hebron. Would Fulmer or Saban have done the same?
If there is a matter of contention between Saban and Richt, it will be about recruiting in Metro Atlanta. Richt has pretty much made a big impact in Georgia by keeping most of the top talent looking at Georgia first. Auburn and Tennessee always get a few players, but Bama has not been very successful in recent years. Since ATL is less than 200 miles from Tuscaloosa, Nick realizes that he has to make a dent there. I'm sure that Nick will be recruiting on his way to Lake Butler often. It should be interesting.
"Nah, my players don't go watch bands like that...too much drug use." or "Nick, you're just mad reporters don't flirt with you at these events anymore." or "Shut the f*** up man-whore"
Richt will just make sure that Georgia is well prepared for Bama this year. The two teams haven't played much in recent years, and when they have, Georgia has won. I wonder if Saban knows that Bama has not beat Georgia since 1995. (12yrs)
