Yeah when "nearly 100,000" show up, I wonder if they're just counting the drunk graduates trying to get into the student section. I'd say it's closer to 120-130k outside the stadium before a game. Does that seem inaccurate?
Campus Police estimate that 120,000 tailgaters are on campus for a really big game. It's probably less than 100,000 for the lesser games.
No doubt. I'd say 120k easy outside the stadium before a big game. I can think of 1/2 dozen people in our group alone that come to tailgate then leave come gametime. Multiply that over numerous other groups of tailgaters.
I think I remember Skip saying that around 100K were outside the stadium during the game and then add the 96K in the game it is closer to 200,000. But maybe I am wrong.
