It's possible. My hope is for Georgia to win out (they should be ranked #11 this week, maybe even #10). We need a Tennessee loss and then Georgia will definitely be a top 5/6 team in the country (hard to believe but it will be the case). We need a strong team to face in the SEC CG.
There is a very real possibility that a 5-3 conferece record will win the SEC East. UT still has games against Arky, Vandy, and @ Kentucky. UGA still has to play Auburn and Kentucky, both at home. SC and Florida still have to play, one of those teams will have 4 conference losses! Hard to believe considering the start both of these teams had. UGA, after that big emotional win against Florida has to play Troy this week. I guess this may allow them to get their letdown out of the way. As inconsistent as UT has been, it is very likely that could lose again. UGA could lose both games they have left in the SEC. It goes without saying that the last month will be crazy in the SEC.
I agree completely, and not because I am scared to play Florida again. The best case scenario, as someone stated earlier in the thread, is for either UGA or Tennessee to come in on a winning streak and be ranked in the top 10. This, of course, bares no relevance if we don't care of business next week, which I think we will.
I think that the Tennessee win over South Carolina last night clearly put Tennessee in the driver's seat for the SEC East. If they win out, they win it. Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina all have to depend on someone to beat Tennessee. Kentucky is the darkhorse who can still pull out a 5-3 record. Depending on Houston Nutt is downright repulsive. :cuss:
As we saw yesterday, Tenn is a very inconsistent team. I dont even know who they have left on the schedule but I wouldnt be surprised if they lose 2 more or at least get beat down like Bama did to them.
Georgia is indeed #10 this week, as I predicted. This is excellent. Please win out and UT lose 1 more. Please.
