Soes anyone remember the thread from before the season started about everyone expectations for the season. My expectations were surpassed and I'm real proud of these guys and our HC. 10 wins for a first year coach (LSU record) and we beat 'Bama, Auburn, and Florida in the same season (LSU first). Pretty good season if you ask me. So to cut to the chase, was the result of the season fail or exceed your expectations. Be honest.
I'm not happy after this embarrasment tonight but I do agree. I think 10-2, SECCG and top 10 aint bad at tall. Would like to win the bowl though.
Like most I would say that the end result certainly exceeded expectations. --10-2 regular season record, not bad for a first year coach. --Save the first two games, Defense remained reasonably dominant. --Clutch plays to persevere --Very classy players building character with Katrina --Russell developing well Also like many I think there are a lot of dissapointments on how that result was reached. --Lack of a completely dominant game --Lackluster offensive play calling --Too many mistakes, penalties, turnovers --Lack of depth at RB Is this all to blame on a head coach? Not likely.
Great teams find a way to win. Every good team has a lot of luck. Sure, we could have lost a few more but so could have every other team in the country. The thing is we didn't lose the games where we could have or should have lost. We won ten games and had a 9 game winning streak to boot.
