Watching Sean May destroy Ill right now. Started thinking, if Glen Davis can lose about 20-30 pounds or so and get a little stronger could he be this type of player next year. Davis already has the most important ingredients I think, really good footwork and soft hands.

May is very impressive and he is very "Basketball Bright." I think Davis can elevate his game over the next two years, but I think he needs to grow with the kids around him to get to May's level. May is the heartbeat of a team with exceptional talent and we will have to see if Davis wants / accepts that role...

You know, someone who hasnt gotten any credit for this win is Matt Doherty. I know the guy didnt win with these guys. But, he got them to Chapel Hill. The guy could recruit. Look at that class with Felton, Mccants and May. Sick

True, but these guys were not playing the same kind of uptempo ball Williams coaches. I don't think Carolina would be playing in this game tonight if Doherty was still coaching them.

Yep, his dad Scott May was on the IU team that went 32-0 in 1975-76.

I think he's a good coach. Also, I believe he took those guys as freshmen and they almost got into the dance. I think may got hurt his freshmen year or they would have gone to the NCAA's.

Big Baby has a LONG way to before he can become a player on May's level. Footwork doesn't counter speed and grace, and for Davis' weight, he has that in spades, but if he were to go up against May, he'd have his lunch money taken from him.

He can get there, but it will take some SERIOUS work from now over the next two years to get there...and I think Big Baby is topped out from a growth (read: height ;-) standpoint...So I think May may always have him there...But agility and weightwise, Davis-with work-can get there easily.
