At the first UGA game a UGA student approached my wife and I at our gate before entering death valley. He asked us if we were "even LSU grads?" Our answer was no because my wife is an NLU (not ULM) grad, and I received my degree at LSUA (as well as one from NSU). Well the guy laughed in our faces and asked why we were LSU fans if we have never attended classes at the Baton Rouge campus. We forgot about it and enjoyed our game and our victory. What I'm getting at is that we were confronted with the same comment at the Sugar Bowl coming from a Sooner's fan. IS THIS TRUE??? If this does happen to be true my wife and I will be devestated. We are both huge Tiger fans and have been as long as we both can remember. Does anyone else feel this way?
Forget that UGA students dumbass remarks. He sounds like an idiot who will flunk out of UGA and never be a University of Georgia graduate himself. 20 years from now he will still be an UGA fan and some idiot might ask him why he is going to the game if he didn't graduate from Georgia.
Thanks Bengal B. I'm gonna go tell my wife so she can get off the medication the doc put her on. Man will she be happy.
I am an LSU graduate. LSU graduates do not have a monopoly on being Tiger fans. Support for LSU is universal !
If this is how true fandom were attained, every college would have a very small fan bass and college football would be an insignificant sport. How many Notre Dame fans ever actually go there?
Blow it off Jim Hawthorne is one of LSU's biggest fans I believe he went to Southeastern or Northeastern. Some of LSU's biggest fans didn't go to LSU I have a good friend from North Carolina went to NC State that loves the Tigers like his own.
No attendance requirements to be a fan. My mom is the biggest LSU fan that I have ever seen. If they are playing....football, baseball, basketball,...whatever she is listening on the radio, watching on TV, or in the stands. She is the definition of fanatic when it comes to the Tigers. She never attended LSU and only one of her children did(me...for only one year). That in NO WAY makes her less of a fan. I only attended one year and I am still a fan..have been as long as I can remember. I was a fan long before going to LSU and will be a fan long after leaving LSU. If anyone tells you, you are not a fan tell'em to kiss your ass!
