Ely was about 1 yard out of the endzone, but was driven back in. Shouldn't the play have been called at the 1 with LSU taking over on downs?

They just showed the replay and it appears he had the ball in his right hand and over the goal line when the LSU players made contact...therefore, the forward progress was on the goal line and as we all know, the ball need only to break the vertical plane of the line to be considered IN the endzone. I think it's a good call.

After further review the play stands as called on the field.

Uh, ok, don't make me call you names. If it isn't a safety, we get the ball on the 1 and have a chance to go in for 6. That's why it would have been important. I know you can't change the call at this point, but we could have possibly gotten 5 more points out of it. You don't think that is important? :dis:

My view of the replay had the guy in the field of play, but I didn't get a good look at the location of the ball. Questionable call in my view. I'll take the 2, but the 6 or 7 would have been nicer. That's all.
