You think Tiger faithful are hating Saban right now? Watch and see if he lures Jimbo away to Tuscaloosa. That would be a HUGE loss. Jimbo is the guy who molded Jamarcus. Both Flynn and Perrilloux need that kind of molding, too. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2720320
I really think Jimbo, if he wants to leave, should go to a team where he has a chance to become a head coach 3-4 years down the line. A team like FSU. At Alabama he'll basically be in the same situation he was here at LSU with Saban, so it wouldn't make too much sense for him to go there.
I don't hate the guy. I have lost all respect for him as a person of character. How can he coach kids and how can he be taken as a role model. WE LSU fans thought we had it bad when he left but look at what he did to the Dolphins. If he wanted to go back to college he should've stayed and lived up to his contract whether he wanted to leave college or not. Anybody here who had a regular job would have lost it long ago if you pulled the stuff Saban did. The SEC West especially will be tough on all of us because this stuff will happen with coaches and recruits. Auburn will have it just as tough as us.
Jimbo does not want to work for Nick. Nick is going to have to pony up some money to make him move. I think Jimbo is FSU bound. Working for Nick is like working for a tyrant. The only thing that lures Jimbo to Alabama is a big raise!
I think it has been well known that Jimbo would not be coming back here for a couple of months. Florida radio seems to think he is FSU's.
That would be nuts for Alabama to give a big raise for a new OC, but....anything can happen with this salary horserace.
It is the word on the FSU Rivals Site. Gotta do whatcha gotta do i guess. If he can turn the FSU program around and when papa bowden retires then it would be his job. Since Bowden will more than likely give him full control of the offense play calling during the game.
LSU offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher, the subject of speculation as a replacement for Florida State offensive coordinator Jeff Bowden, might be facing a difficult decision. Fisher also has been offered a job to rejoin former LSU coach Nick Saban as offensive coordinator for Alabama. Saban is also attempting to strip Florida State of prized assistant Kevin Steele. -- Florida Times-Union Jimbo please dont go to BAMA
I really felt ambiguity when Saban left. I understood he wanted a new challenge. So I accpeted it and sent him off with best wishes. I see him coming back just two years after leaving as a serious slap in the face to the LSU program. He is coming back to coach one of our biggest rivals. I cant forgive that. Add to that all the lies.
Come on guys, you just beat the living crap out of notre dame and a significant percentage of the subjects on this forum are STILL about CNS. Are you all that big of Dolphin fans or moral uprisers? You don't even know for any certainty that there were any lies, you just assume. I came on to this forum (which I joined last night to wish good luck and say GEAUX TIGERS) to congratulate you guys, but all I see are subjects ripping at CNS, why??? What did tuberville say to the ole miss fans within 24 hours of being announced the next coach at awbarn?? He said: "I will leave Ole Miss in a pinebox", what did Francione say to Bama fans before he left????? Stuff happens and it's now called "coachspeak" and it's never bad if you're the one who benefits from it, so if Meyers had a 6-7 season this past year, would you guys be critical if CNS said, I'm going back to the tigers???? HELL no, you woulnd't have. Anyway, I came here to congratulate you guys on last nights butt whoopin, I'm off your forum now
