Nobody is talking about the LSU/Notre Dame game. Everyone is talking about Saban.

Delayed the announcement til this morning. Coincidence? I think not.

Thats what I have been thinking all day... double slap in the face... first basically saying "LSU wasnt good enough for me, but Bama is"... and then taking the limelight away from LSU's bowl game...

same with when he left - his head coaching saga took light over the Cap One game with Iowa...........It is all about Nick, plain and simple. Fun part of it is that it makes Bama a big rival again, moving up there with Auburn and Florida.

I don't think he was trying to upstage anybody, but you guys know him better than I do. I do however know that everyone here will be yelling GEAUX TIGERS tonight, good luck guys, I wish you the best in feeding "america's team" to the Tigers of LSU tonight.

You've got your Crimson glasses on, friend.

He treated LSU like a stepchild when he left--ON CHRiSTMAS ....and then, he postpones the announcement of his decision the morning of LSU's BCS bowl game vs Notre Dame?

The guy is a certified A-hole who wants the world to revolve around him. I first thought the same thing of him when he left but settled myself down and chaulked it up to being disappointed. I know better now.

great recruiting move against an inter-divisional rival. he is the ultimate puppet master. this orchestrated play has been in play for quite some time. saban is the most calculating mofo ever.

Well, I understand the frustration, but I don't understand the media savagery he has taken. For example, when Tubby left ole missed, he stated (les than 28 hours before being announced the barn's coach) that he would leave UM in a pine box, nobody chimed in... When fran left Bama for Texas a&m, Corso praised the guy... the SEC, not just Bama catches this stuff. Just like the game tonight, that's why we're pulling for you guys, that's why all of the SEC are pulling for you guys, not because we're LSU fans, but because the SEC deserves a little more respect. I dislike Florida, but I'll be pulling my hair out during their game.
Maybe CSN is a liar, I don't think he's a liar, but I think he works for himself, but is that so wrong? If he leaves us in the middle of the night, well... at least we'll be better off than we are right now, and that's not so bad, just like when he took over LSU - he left you better than he found you, so you can't hate him for that and sure we may say the same things you guys have said if he leaves us, but we won't deny that he left us better than he found us.... that ofcourse is assuming that he improves our situation, which I believe/hope he will.

    GEAUX TIGERS tonight

You make a great point . . . I've thought of the same thing. Saban needs LSU to get knocked down a notch or two, because he wants Louisiana talent at Bama. Whether he planned it or not, it was a shrewd move to try to steal some of the limelight from LSU today and tonight.

A ND win over LSU tonight would serve Saban's interests at this point in time, because, as I said, it will be easier for him to lure our talent to Bama, if LSU loses some of its current prestige and ranking.

Saban knows that he must do whatever he can to weaken LSU now . . . the vampire draws the blood from his victim and uses it for nourishment . . . Saban needs Louisiana football talent for nourishment. Saban wants to drink our blood.

    LSU! :crystal:
