Just thought I'd put this up so WHEN he announces he is staying eveyone can come here and rejoice...

I've voiced my opinions here and there and have agreed with some of you on reasons why he will not leave. Timing, family, control, loyalty, honesty...that kind of thing. So when he does make the announcement, show some love for those of us that never lost the faith (Crawfish, tirk, and even ramah...and those I forgot). :lsug: :champs:

Always nice to keep your options open, then whatever he decides you can say you were right©.

I think it will boil down to:
    1. Do you REALLY LIKE to develop young men (college) or
    2. Do you believe you are one of the best coaches ever, and have a desire or need to prove it at the highest level (Pro's)

Nick's prospects for a long and stable run are better at LSU IMO. He is loved and idolized in La. He owns the state recruiting. Then there's the family thing, daughter and wife, and stability of home situation.

But then there's that competitiveness thing, the need to prove he's the best on any level. I don't think money will be part of the decision.

On paper, I'd stay. But if was a betting man, my $ would be on the Dolfins. I hope I'm wrong.

I also agree that NS will choose the fins despite daughter and wife's stability. I believe the announcement will be made early next week. I am very disappointed in him. I think a man should fulfill the obligation he committs himself to. What happened to loyalty in our society. Greedy, Greedy People.

Don't count me in with those clowns

There is no "Faith" involved where fear reigns and assclown posts rule the day ... I have never shown anything other than a blase' attitude about the whole affair

And when the announcement comes that Saban is staying ... Keep me out of the "hit parade".

Give it to Mr. Rep Points ... Ole dirk ... the one that was crowing early about Saban leaving ... with his balls caught on the fence ... Now you say he's the "Big Hero" predicting Saban stays ... amusing ... As for Crawfish ... at least he has common sense to spot a scam ... I'll say that

Mature and worldly folk know a first-rate $$$ shakedown when they see one

This whole fuggin' Saban to Miami deal is a sham ... and a 3rd rate production at that ... In the words of Forrest Gump ... Slick is as Slick does ... Kudos to Slick Saban ... Top Paid College Coach in America, still ... expect another "B" movie performance in two years ... no awards for his recent performance ... a real stinker

My last five raises were 7%, 8%, 9%, 9% & 10% this year. My peers over here get 5% Tops.

How do I do it ... year after year ... :hihi:

    I'm slicker than friggin' owl **** ... that's why

I have several "old friends" in the major established Oil Companies who annually (on request) "recruit me". They draft the most beautiful Job offers & Contract Proposals ... always about 1-2 months before evaluation time ... and my wife "leaks" the info out to the bosses' wife at tea parties ... and eventually the pressure is so great that the boss spills the beans and brings it up ... I put on my usual act and act "torn" about the "upcoming decision" ...

But I let 'em win every time ... at the expense of an "Outstanding" evaluation and subsequent pay raise ... 7-10% maximum

How do you get every last nickel out of the "Sacred Cow" ...

A Slick plan, son ... and making people believe they're winning with something that's their own idea (Please, Nick ... stay ... well ... OK ... for another 1.5 MM USD)

Yeah ... you boys can keep me out of your "Hero's Parade" ... Slick's act is getting to be a real stinker ... sorry "youse guys" can't see the "WOOD" for the trees ...

Please respond with something smartassed ... I'm in an especially nasty mood tonight

^^^ You sure are a fuhnay dude...

Since you were there in the beginning with your "blase' " attitude I will include you in the "hit parade" no matter what you say. The other two aformentioned guys may have been on the fence at first but now have come to the realization that this is not a done deal. The Dolphins ownership is not about to risk the wrath of the NFL and pay a fine that could reach into the million dollar range. They screwed up and there is no way they can get out of it now. Now if they had interviewed a "token" soon after Dave left then maybe there would be a further leaning to South Beach. But, given the situation now, he cannot be offered the job for 3 weeks and I don't see Miami waiting that long to fill that coaching position. There will be other offers in the future and he will be mentioned every year until that time he is ready to go. Granted there is a strong desire on NS part to make a move but he will wait. Those offers will become sweeter year after year and after the graduation ceremonies for his youngest, THAT is when he will make the leap...
