Tennessee's and Auburn's ability or inability to pull top talent out of Georgia has had a significant impact on their overall results. Georgia's recruiting has seen almost no impact by Saban so far.
Generally, it has been that Bama recruits Mississippi, Auburn has Georgia. As for Bama in Georgia, they have been more active over there this year then in a decade. God I sound like a Bama apologist.
You sound like someone that has educated themselves on the particulars and formed a lucid response. Something that Chip doesn't seem willing or wanting to do.
bama added the top recruit in bama other than julio and love a minute ago. he was a uf lean and supposed to sign on nsd. i think we can lay this debate to rest for a while now. not saying he will win 10n games, but the sob can recruit.
Man you "scooped me" on that one. I feel like we snaked him away from the criminoles and gators. I had heard that he was leaning towards those two. CNS is full of surprises. Who needs Atlanta when you have a weekend like this one has turned out. :yelwink2:
Larry Munson, who I consider to be one of the best announcers in college football, doesn't have the same opinion as you do. In fact, he's expecting UGA to lose several games this season. FWIW, ouir success isn't, and never has been, contingent on how well we recruit the Atlanta metro area. Quite frankly, we've cherry picked the area for years only for a player here or there.
Stop it Terry.................gonna give the man a headache, he has a hard time with that concept.
Larry Munson always has a low estimate. Then he tells everyone how surprised he is. This year Georgia has as much talent as any other team in the SEC East, and as much talent as every team in the West save LSU. Last year or this year, Saban has nothing on Richt as far as recruiting goes.
That's left to be seen. You don't know how well a class is until they are on the field, agreed? In one month, he pulled what was rated a top 10 class (I realize half of the class were Shula's recruits) but you'll see this next class be rated even higher. At MSU and then at LSU, he brought in some of the best classes in the nation...you'll see the same at Bama. I like Richt, but you do have some questions to answer this season. And, early on.
Hey whistle britches, Saban recruited for 30 days last year. UGA was 9th and Bama was 10th. How many years has Richt been recruiting at UGA? I am not dissing Richt, think that he is a class guy. In 2 years Saban will out recruit Richt.
