Saban keeps quiet about scouting efforts at Senior Bowl By Hugo Guzman ; 01/24/06 As usual, Nick Saban is operating under a veil of secrecy at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama. He told reporters the he would not be available for comment until Wednesday. However, Saban did take a moment to praise the deeds of his former LSU recruits who are attending this game. One of those LSU players, WR Skyler Green, would look very good in a Miami Dolphins uniform. Saban didn’t get to watch Green practice on Monday because he spent his day evaluating the North squad. Green and his two LSU teammates, RB Joseph Addai and DT Kyle Williams, are practicing with the South team. The Senior Bowl is a key event for not just the Miami Dolphins, but NFL scouts in general. Over 700 coaches and scouts attend the practices and the game in order to evaluate talent for the upcoming NFL draft in April. Hopefully, starting on Wednesday, fans and media will get an opportunity to peer inside Saban’s brain to see who he likes and what he’s looking for in Mobile. http://www.miamifootball365.com/dolphins/articles/2005/senior-bowl-saban240106.shtml also heard that he said he would take any or all 3 of those guys on his team. edit: skyler is being drafted as a special teams guy; wide receiver will be a bonus he will work into. and jay cutler supposedly looked fantastic today.

Doubt Miami would draft Skyler when they already have Wes Welker. They are also pretty deep at RB and DT so it's unlikely they'd pick up Williams or Addai either.
Coach Nick probably trying to talk his former player's draft stock up although any team would be lucky to get him, IMHO !
they are still looking to dump ricky and with keith traylor and holliday as your DT's i think its time to look for someone younger than 50. KW would be the most likely candidate since i agree welker is good and odds are they arent going rb with ronnie brown entrenched. then of course, Manuel Wright could start crying again if they draft KW.
I don't think they are even listening to any offers for Ricky. And Manuel Wright played a lot at the end of last year and played really good, he will probably start next year. Holliday plays end BTW, Carter plays on the inside.
Skyler pulled his hamstring at practice today and did not return. Some are saying he will not play and they are looking for a last minute replacement for him. Sucks for Skyler. This game could have helped him. Then again, he may be fine and be able to play. Who knows?
holliday played inside the games i saw and im pretty sure carter played end unless i just didnt notice or am confused with the tim bowens years. ill have to check their depth chart to make sure im not going crazy. ricky has to always be trade-bait. especially with TO on the radar. i mean cmon u cant have ricky, david boston and TO on the same team. artest would be a better fit.
damn whered u hear that? i heard some post practice stuff and never heard mention of that. sucks if true. he needed to make a good showing.
Info is on a couple pay sites that do draft coverage. thenflexperts.com has it if you have a tigerrag.com membership you can read it there. It is in the article about Tuesday night Buzz at the Senior Bowl.
