Another: I really, really like this quote. I think we're going to come out very aggressive (say, like the 2001 Sugar Bowl) on offense and try to take the team and the crowd out of the game. We should play as if we have everything to gain by a big win, because in many ways we do. Having the opportunity to have, to no small degree, a place in the National Championship Game is very rare, and even if we run those Dawgs out of the stadium and, somehow, still not get to New Orleans I, for one, would be far happier than if we played a conservative, "play not to lose"-type close game. If you're gonna die, men, die with yer boots on!
I'm so glad Saban's agent contacted LSU about the position b/c I wouldn't want a little whiny bee-otch like Richt patrolling the sidelines in Baton Rouge.
What a coach ... If Nick Saban isn't Coach of the Year ... It's only because he doesn't KISS THE MEDIA'S AZZ. And if that's the reason ... I pray he never gets Coach of the Year ... and diseases too ... I imagine some of those media arses are quite nasty. To take a team without a Top 10 Preseason Ranking to the brink of a NC game is quite an accomplishment. We know this ... he's the best coach in the best damned football conference in America.
Speaking of coach of the year and LSU....... No coach deserved it more than John Brady the year they reached the sweet 16 or whatever it was. It was an incredible feat because of all the scholarship limitations and the problems the program had, never mind being 6 or 7 deep on the bench. I challenge anyone to find a coach that did more with less with all the challenges he had to deal with his first 4 years.... They all snubbed him like they will do Nick.
