Again, sorry no link. I heard it on ESPN radio. Wouldn't that be a slap in the face if the guy who was single-handedly responsible for the chain of events that led to Saban leaving comes back to play for him in Miami?

Probably hopes to have Ricky rejoin the team, then trade him off first chance he gets.

Not sure how high (pun intended :hihi: ) his trade value is right now. He'd be lucky to get a 2nd round pick for him.

Knowing NS that makes no sense?
That I knew the coach, I don't think Ricky Williams could be traded, I don't think anyone would take a chance for a guy that leaves the game for pot and not think
twice about the team, coach or the players.
He know has a bad rap!

They desperately need to get Ricky back so that they can trade him and clear his huge salary and have some room to work under the salary cap. Right now, they are handcuffed.

Pros are different than college. Character certainly doesn't play are part in. All that matter is winning. If Ricky gives him the best chance at being successful, I can see him being 'receptive' to his return.

Who would want him and his ridculous salary when he's that undependable? I don't think they'll be able to move him unless they agree to continue paying most of his salary or they're willing to get almost nothing in return.

I heard that too. But what was never said was what conditions they agree to to take him off Miami's hands. I can't imagine them giving up very much unless they're just glutton's for punishment.

Also, since he quit without fufilling his contract, does that money still count against the cap? Seems to me, since an arbitrator ruled Williams had to be the money back, that they would get some kind of cap relief. I don't know if that's a fact of not, but it would make sense.
