    Recap:

He Kinda dodged the "run up the score" question. The first question of the interview, Spencer Tillman outright asked him if he was trying to impress anyone - he responded with a classy if cliched compliment to the team on the way they played for 60 minutes.

He mentioned the drawback of possibly not knowing our SECCG opponent until Monday.

Reiterated his opinion of having a small playoff after the bowl games to determine the NC participants.

Brando asked him about the widely held belief that its tough to beat a team twice in a season. Nick responded to the contrary, mentioning that in his last season at Cleveland, the Steelers beat them 3 times that year. Saying something like the better team is going to win.

That was about it...Brando and Tillman were both giving the love before, during and after the interview!

    More Recap:

Brando also asked about weak our non-conference schedule. Note: During that question, Brando did comment on how we are trying to help out other LA schools like Tech and ULM. In response, Nick promptly brought up the fact that we lost the Marshall and VA Tech games through no fault of our own - simply calling it "bad luck".

Personally, I'm glad that little tidbit got aired on national TV.

Nick's comment about a playoff after the bowl games was prompted by Brando asking, wouldn't you love to play USC to find out who should play OU for the NC?

Nick then said that he felt, regardless of the outcome of the SECCG game, we should be in a BCS bowl game. He coyly mentioned that teams like Ohio State and Texas(?) stay in the BCS bowl hunt without having to risk a loss in a conference champ game.

    I agree,

FACT: A 1-loss regular season in the SEC is ALWAYS worth BCS bowl.
