Don't you love it that the media keeps this story bubbling to the surface? It's fast becoming another source of pride. How many stories do you see about "the NFL to coming knocking on" Pete Carroll's door?

The only reason you do not hear Carroll's name mentioned for the NFL is that he already flubbed his only chance in the NFL as head coach. He was awful and the NFL don't want him no mo.

I just read that on nola.com. It looks like LSU is becoming the new "Victor" on The Young and The Restless.

I know all this is just the media hyping up the story, but it still makes me nervous.

Well no one really knows until Saban decides. Saban probably doesnt know at this point. He might know what he wants in terms of a contract, but its up to a team to provide that for him. I really am sick of all the BS towards LSU, particularly about Saban and how USC is #1. I know who the National Champion is, and its not a team that a brand of condoms are named after.

I am planning on moving to LA in a few months, and I will wear my purple and gold with pride in the face of those second-besters. I am getting sick of all this crap and am tired of hearing about every five seconds.

Sorry I had to vent. I hate people sometimes.

I really believe he is now negotiating raises for his asistants, just like he did a couple of years ago here and like he did at MSU, getting his coaches medical care, pensions of some sort, etc.

Everyone who has said Saban is staying can drink some more purple and gold koolaid. These quotes by Saban seem to indicate he is waffling. I seriously doubt if he even knows what he's going to do at this point. Anyone who says for sure he is staying is making a wild guess. As far as negotiating for assistant raises, puhleez, this is the same coach who can barely get on speaking terms with some assistants and leaves a trail of bodies behind him in the assistant coaching world.

Saban isnt a saint or bleeding heart, he's just one helluva football coach, nothing more.

Not sure what planet you've been on, but Saban is known for going after pay raises for his assistants. Do you think Fisher is one of the highest paid offensive coordinators by accident? They may not like working for Saban, but they are some of the highest paid college football assistant coaches!

There is no doubt Saban his tough to work for. Not many people can keep up with him and his demanding schedule.

If these assistant coaches don't enjoy winning championships, then they should move on to the UCF's of the world.

Lastly, every defensive coach can leave and nothing will change ... this is Saban's defense. Fisher is the only assistant coach that would hurt our program if he left!
