for a reason. Because the QB position is so close (both up and down), he is going with the senior. Why?? We have been having trouble recruiting QB's for several years, other than the Russell/Flynn year. We are striking out again this year so far in our attempt to get a good QB. Saban knows that the big time QB's want to play early. He is telling them, look the QB position is wide open and you can come in and compete for the starting spot next year. If Russell was much better as a "complete" QB then he wouldn't be doing this.
Definitely an interesting observation, to say the least. Not sure I buy into it. I would have to think the ultimate goal for Saban is the 'W'. I would think nothing would get in the way of achieving that.
work ethic i tried to tell you. Read TE's post. saban is about integrity folks he is the real deal. A W is great, a W with no integrity is like Tubberville. In the long run it pays off...... for the kids, he is trying to TEACH. It's still a university not Pro, that's why I hate Pro ball and love CFB. he is trying to teach Ja Marcus work ethic. It will pay off. be patient.
Agreed. I think it's ridiculous to imply that Saban is tanking the season on the odd chance that Ryan Perrilloux will change his mind.
Who said tanking the season? I said the QB's are so close and that if they weren't he wouldn't be doing this.
