I just think it's so funny how much like sheep a lot of you all are.

when he has 25-30 TD passes next year people will be all over him.

I bet no one would care if he is attending Geog 1001 then.

We talk about the guys all having the same sets of rules. That's fine... but if you all think RP is the only football player who has missed class this year, we all have another thing coming.

He is just the one who was made an example of.

If you believe that, I can't help you.

Because had he been here, the team would have been an easy 14-0.

So I hope that was just an example thrown out there off the top of your head.:thumb:

I couldn't agree more, sometimes walking in "those" shoes can really get through to someone. We lived in Columbus when Troy Smith was haivng his issues, and while I was never a Buckeye fane, we met and shoot his hand while in NO for the BCS game this year. He was very impressive and represented his alma mater wonderfully. Kudos to him for steppin' up and growin' up. Its not IMPOSSIBLE to do. I think we all here really HOPE RP does what he needs to do. No one WANTS to see him fail. That is just a ridiculous notion.

Perhaps, I know I missed more than my share of classes, hell I never went...but I didn' t get caught. I also didn't get investigated by the FBI (not found guilty of wrong-doing, I know), get CAUGHT trying to use a fake ID (had one, just was a bit more sly or not as infamous), or get in a bar fight. Do we care that he goes to Sociology and get the finest education LSU has to offer? Nope, that SHOULD be his parent's concern. and possibly Les's. Our, or more my opinion stems from the fact the this kiddo thinks he can break the rules. He always has an "excuse".....it is flat out wrong....and just because a team mate breaks the rules, doesn't make it ok for him to do it either...thats just insane to throw out there. And I don't care if he won the freakin' Heisman...if he's breakin' the law, thinkin he's God's gift to the state, and doesn't have to be a "team" player...then he don't need o be on the team. I don't care HOW many TD passes he throws.

Maybe, but perhaps not...he was good at what he did, but made a lot of questionable decisions too...we'll never know...which is why you'll note I said "may not have":thumb:

I think it's funny how you defend your HS friend and teammate at all cost ... oh wait, that was made up.

As people mature, they understand following rules is a part of life, even when the rules are stupid. You and RP will learn this or lose some things you want out of life.

Clair is right. When RP starts winning games, all will be forgiven. You don't have to be old to understand that. And I don't see anything wrong with it. It's football. It's our job to watch it. It's the coaches job to manage the team.

What is there to forgive? Find me one LSU fan here who hopes he doesn't get is act together and wants him to fail.

We are fans. Discussing RP's suspension is no different than discussing a player's injury or performance. It affects the team and we talk about it.

Maybe we should just stop talking about LSU sports.

Would he have played defense against Arky and Kentucky? If not, we may still have been 12-2.

All I had to do is go back to the first two pages. I don't want to quote anyone because I don't want to single anybody out, but the posts are full of "let him go", "Has Pryor committed yet?", "I told everyone he wouldn't make it to next summer", "I don't care what he did, this is his third strike", "Welcome to the SEC Jarret Lee". etc. That doesn't sound like people wanting him to get his act together. I don't think all Tiger fans share these sentiments, but a grand majority that contributed to this thread do.

It sounds like frustrated fans to me, and they should be. Here is a simple question ... have you ever heard of a college football player being suspended 3 times in less than a year?

You do understand how rare this situation is and why it looks like Miles is cutting him slack b/c we need him? If this was happening at any other school, like Bama, we'd be laughing our asses off at them. In fact, we have a thread about the problems at Bama.
