An you know none of it was spent....how? In the link you provided, you claimed it was all fact and yet I provided about half a dozen falsehoods including the comment from Rogers whose testimony is what your allegation is based on and yet Rogers said, "There are tools available to us, and again, I think in fairness, you can't say nothing's been done," Oops.

But let me ask, are you talking about THIS $100M?

"The Pentagon spent more than $100 million in the last six months responding to and repairing damage from cyber attacks and other computer network problems, military leaders said Tuesday.

Air Force Gen. Kevin Chilton, who heads U.S. Strategic Command, said the military is only beginning to track the costs, which are triggered by constant daily attacks against military networks ranging from the Pentagon to bases around the country.

"The important thing is that we recognize that we are under assault from the least sophisticated - what I would say the bored teenager - all the way up to the sophisticated nation-state, with some pretty criminal elements sandwiched in-between," said Chilton, adding that the motivations include everything from vandalism to espionage. "

Because that happened in 2009. Which means whatever the tyrant Obama put in place was totally useless. Or maybe you meant the DoD's massive effort....
    https://www.defense.gov/News/Special-Reports/0415_Cyber-Strategy/

Which clearly leaves a lot to be desired if 13 Russian bots could do what they do.

Are you saying Trump never approved sanctions or just that he denied to impose NEW sanctions? Because last August, Trump signed in to law the CAATSA.
    https://www.treasury.gov/resource-center/sanctions/Programs/Pages/caatsa.aspx

That's 6 months and Trump feels it's doing it's job so far. Why would he trust anything the "intelligence" community says because he doesn't trust them and for good reason. Why knee jerk to Congress without giving this law a chance to work....and to deploy the canary in a coal mine strategy?

If you are going to stand on an argument comparing Trump's plan to Churchill's "clarion call", there's not much point in debating. It's a different century. Churchill couldn't even dream of what is transpiring.

There have been some recent minor falls and corresponding corrections but, the S&P 500 SPX is up 21.1 percent since the 2016 election, while the Dow DJI has gained 28.5 percent in that period and the Nasdaq Composite IXIC is up 30.3 percent.

-Banks and technology have been the best performers over the past year. The Dow has closed at a record high more than 70 times since election day 2016 and the S&P 500 has closed at a record on 52 days in 2017 -the fifth-most in any year. Economic growth across the globe, alongside stimulative monetary policy from the world's largest central banks, have been behind the market's rally. The expectation of pro-growth and business-friendly policies from the Trump administration as well as bets on deregulation, gave investors further reasons to invest in stocks.

-Behind the scenes, the U.S. military is planning for nearly a half-billion dollars in new construction during the Trump administration, including a Navy request to build a $250 million, five-bed hospital here that has been singled out for study by a Senate committee....In two other major projects, Congress is poised to give the Army $124 million to build a new barracks for 848 prison troops to be ready in four years. And on a different corner of the base, the Pentagon is soliciting bids of up to $100 million to build a skeletal structure for a 13,000-migrant tent city and housing for 5,000 U.S. forces. Hmmm....wonder what all that is for.

-Nearly a third of territory reclaimed from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria since 2014 has been won in the past six months, due to new policies adopted by the Trump administration, a senior State Department official said Friday.

Brett McGurk, the State Department’s senior envoy to the anti-Islamic State coalition, said that steps President Trump has taken, including delegating decision-making authority down from the White House to commanders in the field, have “dramatically accelerated” gains against the militants.

    - According to ICE, its agents have made 43 percent more arrests since Trump took office versus the same period last year. While ICE took into custody more immigrants with criminal records, the fastest-growing category of arrests since Trump’s inauguration is those facing no criminal charges. The agency arrested more than 28,000 “non-criminal immigration violators” between Jan. 22 and Sept. 2, according to the agency’s records, a nearly threefold increase over the same period in 2016. The number of people attempting to sneak across the U.S. border with Mexico fell dramatically in the months following Trump’s inauguration, reducing the supply of easy-to-deport immigrants. And while the administration has directed ICE to ramp up enforcement, antipathy toward the president’s policies has supercharged the fundraising ability of advocacy groups and law firms that provide pro-bono help to immigrants fighting deportation. Think about that for a minute. ILLEGAL immigrants slowed down after Trump took office but certain entities in the government are still trying to claim they are non-criminal immigration violators, lol. They came here illegally so by definition they are criminals. And now taxpayers and lawyers are rushing to their defense. Trump has put a spotlight on ALL the vermin.

-You somehow thought NoKo only became a threat since Trump took office. It takes more than a minute for a country to become nuclear-capable as they are now, so you need to look at the tyrant to understand how they got to be that way in the first place. Where did they get their uranium? No to mention, Trump flexed China to help shut dear leader up. Still, you have to wonder what China thought about Russia flying Tupolev-95MS bombers over the Korean Peninsula while the US and SoKo participated in joint war games.

-Trump is also managing Syria, where the U.S. is killing Iran backed militia and Russia is killing CIA backed militia. Keeping in mind that the Syrian uprising that began in 2011 during the tyrant's term, the carnage there was essentially a humanitarian disaster. For Obama, contemplating his legacy, the awful death and destruction that Syria has suffered — the 400,000 deaths, the wholesale wasting of civilian neighborhoods, the wanton use of sarin gas and chlorine gas and barrel bombs are his burden.

-Pulled out of the Paris Climate Agreement. One could say that was a fail for the environment but I say it was a major win for telling the international community to practice what they preach and that the US doesn't kiss anyone's arse. At home, he cut 16 rules and regulations for every one created, saving $8.1 billion.

-He has made fair trade and improving the US position, a focus. We are out of TPP, opened up new talks for NAFTA, killed the tyrant's deal with communist Cuba and Toyota, Mazda, Broadcom Limited, and Foxconn have all announced plans to open US facilities. He has flown the banner to promote the use and sale of US energy.

-He signed the Veterans Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act which is meant to reform the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) by allowing the secretary to dismiss employees who are not performing. It is also intended to ensure appropriate due process protections for whistleblowers. And that's opposed to Obama who offered bonuses to VA facilities to sped up appointments....all of which turned in to falsifying records just to get federal dollars. Signed the Veterans Appeals Improvement and Modernization Act which is mostly self-explanatory. Signed the VA Choice and Quality Employment Act of 2017, which was an extension of the tyrant's act. It continues funding for the Veterans Choice Program, which ensures that veterans can have access to medical treatments and procedures which the VA itself does not provide. In other words, it guarantees veterans can see a private non-VA physician if medically necessary, at government expense.

    You're right....he hasn't done shit.[/QUOTE]

@uscvball What a load of crap. First you imply that Rogers is the only source of the report on whether the state Department spent money allocated. It is reported and NOT denied by multiple sources. Second you imply that the DOD efforts are solely the initiative of Trump. BS it’s obviously an ongoing effort through many administrations.
Third you say congress hasn’t given the existing sanctions time. What you ignore is the additional sanctions were intended for a specific set of events which called for them to be implemented. By refusing to act Trump is giving aid to an adversary.
Fourth you load a ton of crap that has nothing to do with Russia and my point to deflect from the fact you can’t answer honestly.
To say that Churchill’s call against totalitarian tyranny is invalid today is to be deliberately blind. In his own words Putin has shown he wants to recreate the USSR and weaken the US & West. Why hasn’t Trump even defended our values and challenged Putin once?
Churchill, T Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Reagan all had the moral standing and courage to call out tyranny. Trump lacks the courage to do much more than attack his allies and of course ‘Alex’ Baldwin.
Again quit deflecting and defending the indefensible.

    Defended our values? Are serious?

CNN pukes all day because Trump is defending American Values constantly.

I don’t know, you act like Trump has literally done nothing while asking for integrity. Kind of funny.

Ummm, no. YOU provided a link that said, "Just as striking, Trump hasn't mobilized his administration to counter Russian cyberattacks. The National Security Agency director says Trump hasn't asked him to."

And then you posted, "Is this written by someone who doesn’t like Trump? Absolutely. However show me where it’s inaccurate. https://www.cnbc.com/2018/03/02/heres-a-closer-look-at-trumps-in-plain-sight-embrace-of-russia.html
Trump isn’t doing his duty as president. He’s done nothing NOT ONE THING to prevent Russian meddling that even he admits happened. Trump even more than Obama is a plaything of Putin."

That would be YOUR link, YOUR comment, and YOUR challenge to show you were it's inaccurate. And I did so.

Are you for real? Provide the sources then and we can proceed. And keep in mind, a NON-denial is NOT evidence of fact.

No. I referenced the DoD with this, "maybe you meant the DoD's massive effort....https://www.defense.gov/News/Special-Reports/0415_Cyber-Strategy/" which is from 2015 and my point is/was that it was ineffective at preventing Russian bots.

No. I said specifically that Trump did not extend NEW sanctions because he believes CAATSA is working. Until we have another election, do you know that they AREN'T working? What if we have been able to find and identify the source of further cyber attacks? You THINK Trump is giving aid. I would suggest that valuable information is more important than floating useless sanctions against an obviously unwilling participant. You have to think beyond the surface. Things are often not what they appear. Lots of false conclusions on your part.

A couple items here, Winston. Please reflect on YOUR thoughts in this thread and try to tell me that you were arguing solely about Russia.

So my 'ton of crap' actually addressed several of your points, including the fact that Trump has, in fact, provided leadership. You may not like it, but it's still there.

I am going to stop engaging you regarding Churchill. It isn't relevant to facts. What on God's green earth makes you think Trump hasn't defended 'our' values or that he hasn't challenged Putin? Because the MSM told you so?

Really? Why didn't Eisenhower stand up to Dulles and the evil he was creating? I know the answer. Do you? Trump has no courage? Lol.

    And today...
"North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-un, has told South Korean envoys he is willing to negotiate with the United States on abandoning his country’s nuclear weapons, officials from the South said Tuesday. Mr. Kim also said he would suspend all nuclear and missile tests while such talks were underway, they said."

So here we are. I have answered all your questions, addressed all your points, and I am still waiting for you to come up with actual facts or answer my questions. Why do you think we are expanding Gitmo? What is this about.....
