    1) offensive line You have to have good protection and be able to run the ball to help
out a "new" QB and it didn't happen some of the time.

    2) QB accuracy and consistency
These QB's have to start hitting wr's in the numbers instead of throwing the ball at their shoe strings.

Seems like after game 7 we just started sucking at QB HARD... I just dont know what happened between that game and now to make us absolutely horrid at QB.

Guess it was Saban not wanting to toss more INTs

It mainly has to do with the detergent that is being used this year on the uniforms according to a source close to the program.

What do you think it is?

I think our young QB will play much better this Friday and improve over the offseason when both Flynn and Russell get the majority of snaps next spring and fall.

I think it has a lot to do with the facty that he is a Freshman with offensive line problems and a very young recievers (they do drop a lot of balls) I think that come next year we will have a better idea of how much Russel has learned after the offseason. I also think Flynn will step it up and be ready to compete with Russell for the starting job. No matter what recruits we get at QB I can't see a true freshman competing for a starting spot. IMO that would erase everything we did this year with JaMarcus. We let him get a TON of experience at QB and let him have his growing pains and it didn't cost us any wins (yes i really believe that). I think we went through that so we wouldn't have to do it next year and it turned out all right. All in all i feel optimistic about Russell/Flynn or whoever else our coaching staff brings in.

"Russel's Regression", sounds like a Steven King movie ! I think he will have a better game against Arky than he had at Ole Miss. At this point in the season, I think alot of his problems are mental. If he connects early in the game with Doucet (pun intended), maybe he gets confident and he has a much better game. Who knows ? I'll take a 2-0 win over the nut.

I didn't say it couldn't be discussed. I just gave my take on the situation. You can talk about QB performance until the cows come home. Clearly we have not had sterling QB play this year and there are many reasons. It is good fodder for discussion. I just like to point out that despite the failings we have managed to win games. To me, that's the bottom line. You may continue the discussion now.

Shouldn't we take into account that we have young WR's. Last game they dropped a few passes that they should have caught. I know it might be shock and all that the ball made it to them but didn't Saban say that they weren't running precise routes? I just think it's a combination of things not just the QB's.
