I wanted Flynn to be named the Starter from day 1 since he did so well against Miami. R u people still satisfied w/Russell or are you ready for him to sit the rest of the year out. I think we should turn the ball over to Ryan or Matt. This year is already over so what harm would it cause?

Russell had two of the worst games I have ever seen a QB play this year. By now he should be able to get more then 1 TD against FLA and AU. 1 TD in 8 qtrs is not going to cut it in the SEC. I don't give a what he did against Tulane and Mississippi b/c those teams just flat out suck. Let him sit the rest of the year and hand it over to one of the other guys. Its a sad day when the Razorbacks put up more points then us against AU w/the team they got.

Its sad to say but the only way LSU buys up all the Tenn. tickets is if the coach names a new starter at QB. This could be the first time in a loooong time LSU wont represent in Tenn.

We will represent LSU well in Tenn no matter who is playing any position.

One major problem with benching JR that would be horrible for recruiting. I think most think of him as a great HS prospect and a physical speciman that can produce in the NFL. If we bench him other recruits would be worried that our fans would call for his head and the coaches took action. Any recruit would dream of the passing efficency numbers JR is putting up.

What's sad is that your little purple stars will probably turn red now, but I won't flame you.

I can understand where you are coming from, but you are going to have to even out the blame. Yes, Russell has played mediocre against Auburn and poorly against Florida, but the rest of the team sucked equally, as did the coaches.

I don't care if you are Brett Favre, Peyton Manning, or Dan Marino. If you have absolutley zero running game, you won't be able to do anything. All the defense has to so is sit back and watch you throw where they want you to.

On that first drive, Russell played perfect, but just when everyone else started to screw up, the domino effect caught up with him and so did the poor coaching. The fumble on the one was brushed off by Miles on the sideline and that, my friends, is the sign of horrendous, ridiculous, patheric, and absure coaching. When you have a coach that says, "Eh... it happens. There's always next time," you and the team are in trouble.

So, basically, it wasn't just his fault. It was a collection of faults from the whole team.

I wouldn't say that people are not gonna go to the Tenn, LSU games because of 2 bad games, or even that the season is over, thats just rediculous. I don't think LSU fans are "fair weather" fans to say that the season is over is just crazy. Besides being at an LSU game is about the experience, it's a lot more fun when they win, but win or lose it's a good time.

You conveniently left out that your boy Flynn had the dumb interception against MSU out of the endzone two weeks ago. That said, I would like to see RP get more garbage time this week against KY if the situation arises. MF, RP and JR are all Tigers and we should support all of them.

So Flynn "lit up" a hapless North Texas defense in the fourth quarter last year.

He stunk up the place when he had to come into the SECCG to replace an injured Russell.

He played well, but not extraordinarily well (as some think) against a Miami team that just collapsed in the Peach Bowl. He also had A LOT of help from Joseph Addai, who might've had his best game as a tiger.

He came into the Arizona game in the 3rd quarter and threw his first pass right into the mitts of a linebacker, but it was luckily deflected into the hands of an LSU receiver five yards downfield. He then handed the ball off a dozen times leading to a touchdown.

We've all talked about the INT for a TD against Miss State.

What am I missing that makes Flynn the better option?

Everyone loves to "throw out" JR's ridiculous stats against the Tulane's and Miss State's of the world, but they herald the ONE TIME numbers of Flynn against a Miami team that quit on a meaningless bowl game.

It wasn't Flynn that led LSU back to win against Oregon State, a should've-been-a-win against Iowa, on the road against Arizona State, and on the road against a #3 ranked Alabama team that had one hell of a defense.

Does Russell tend to make one or two key mistakes in some big games? Yes. Is there any evidence to suggest that Flynn wouldn't do the same..or worse? No.

Never happen. Russell is still our best quarterback. I'd still like to see Flynn and Perilloux get more playing time to get us ready for next year, when the schedule is favorable for a championship run.

No way was LSU going to win them all with the road schedule we have this year. We've only lost to Top-10 teams and we don't have to play any more of them.

Russell is by far the better qb and should be the starting qb. You cant blame either loss on Russell. The entire team sucked against Florida. You cant have 5 turnovers and expect to win at Florida. Flynn and RP will have there chance next year because I have a feeling Russell will leave after this year. LSU will travel well to Tennessee as they do everytime. Benching Russell is not the solution.

I've been looking everywhere for Tenn tickets. Is there something you know that I don't?
