Oklahoma averaged 160 yards per game this season on the ground and averaged 4.1 yards per carry. They scored 24 TDs on the grounds.

LSU averaged 193 yards per game this season running the ball and averaged 4.6 yards per carry. LSU scored 22 TDs on the ground.

Of course both teams have great defenses.

I think the rushing defenses are worth note, as well. LSU is ranked #3, allowing 68 yards a game, while Oklahoma is #19, allowing 110 yards per game. The quicker backs generally give them the most trouble. The more I learn about this match up, the more I like it.
