i've read a few messages on the internet that matt jones may actually be 100% but houston nutt is saying the entire 1st team QB snaps will be given to the back-up so LSU will have to prepare for 2 QBs sounds like something he would do....wonder if it has any truth to it
Houston Nutt is a complete idiot. He's a pretty good motivator but when it comes to playcalling and game management he's average at best. If he tries this little plan I see it backfiring big time.
You called it. Last year Cobbs was killing us until the fumble and then Nutt panicked and started letting Jones throw it up for grabs over and over. From that point the route was on.
I remember that too. Cobbs looked unstoppable for awhile. Then things changed quickly. I live in Ark so I get to hear about Jones all the time o: o: However, I haven't heard anything about this rumor. Doesn't matter, Spears will chase him down.
I read over on HogCall that they're keeping the Matt Jones situation under wraps so that we won't know what to look for.

I heard that Matt Mauck was miraculously granted another game by the NCAA. I also heard that Ben Wilkerson is now 100%.
