LSU is really recruiting two players extremely hard. They are: #76 Sylvia Fowles, 6'5 , Miami (Miami Edison) FL (2004) PHOTO Evaluation 1: If a Hollywood producer was looking for a member of Nike camp to portray a tough post player in a movie, Sylvia Fowles would win the role hands down. She's 6'5 with cut arms, a great basketball body, and an intense game face. She is primarily a defensive player at this point, as she could swat away balls and has the mobility to cut off slashers. Sylvia's offensive skills aren't quite as polished and shorter but more aggressive post players could zip in and nab rebounds in front of her. Could score when close to the basket, but inconsistent from further out. AGS no. 6, BS no. 8. Florida State, LSU, and Tennessee. AGS no. 6, BS no. 8. Florida State, LSU, and Tennessee. And (With ball) Erica White, 5'6" PG AGS no. 17. Georgia, LSU, Miami, Tennessee, others. What a recruiting class this would be! Fowles could probably play right away or she could spend time with Crystal White in the post. White also could probably come in right away and play or split time with Amber Long. It was nice having to point guards this past year in Kisha James and Temeka Johnson so that system could work with Erica and Amber.
Thanks. Just crossed this article. It's interesting because all four of these women (Fowles, White, Ajavon, and Larkins) are on Sue's radar. It has been said on various message boards that she is very strongly in the running for the first two.
