Yes that's right, root for auburn to knock off georgia so we can meet the vols in the championship... Root for purdue so that the Ohio State/Michigan game won't jump either of them over us in ANY polls... Root for UCLA or Oregon State(take your pick) because as we tigers know games after bye weeks suck, and both of USC's remaining games follow bye weeks. UCLA on the road (thank god) and Oregon state (GREAT road team) at home... then root for night games so we can have plenty of time to drink before our tigers destroy the teams remaining on the schedule... anybody want to reserve sugar bowl tickets with me?
Actually UCLA "on the road" means a short trip across town!!!! Both teams are located in Los Angeles. One plays in the Rose Bowl (UCLA) and the other in the Coliseum (USC). Geaux Tigers!!
I stand corrected: the computer polls totally LOVE Tennessee, mainly because their SOS kicks a** (8). Now, if they keep winning and moving up in the opinion polls, there's a chance---a chance, I think---they can sustain a loss to LSU in the SEC CG and still finish top 10 BCS. I think. Even if they don't the boost we should get in the computer rankings by beating Tenn--which would be greater than by beating Georgia---helps.
I will be pulling for Auburn to beat Georgia, so Tennessee can win out and go to the CG. If we can take care of our business then we could meet Tennessee in the SECCG with a possible Sugar bowl berth if we win.
We need Tenn AND Georgia to win out, to gain the quality win points...Ohio St loses to Purdue or Michigan (that's almost certain), TCU will lose to S Miss on the road, Texas loses to Tech...Florida takes care of FSU, and the result of the BCS is OU/USC/LSU/Ga/Tenn as the top 5 before the SEC Champ game, and Fla approaching the top 10...Lsu takes care of Georgia in the SEC game, and that could be enough to come close to jumping USC, since their SOS is going downhill from here. Ever check out where the computer gurus are from...UCLA, MIT, NY, Seatte...not many south of I10!!!!
It would be better to face Tennessee since their SOS is really low at 8, and because they are ranked above us in some of the computer polls.
If Tenn and Georgia both win out, the Georgia would have the tie-breaker against them. We want Georgia to lose.
hahaha Thats funny. If theres one thing on this board Ive learned, its that only a select handful of LSU fans would pull for AU in ANY situation EVER. And I asked this last week but no one answered me, but would none of you (mainly those of you who have true pure hatred for AU) actually pull for Auburn even if in a freak situation an AU win would send LSU to the NC game?? WAR DAMN EAGLE!!
