when CW sat out a couple games earlier in the season, the real RP stepped in for dime packages and played all-out. This guy has impressed me from the start and seems to get overlooked (similar to my rant early with KW early on). On special teams he seems to be the first guy down the field with number 7 Ali Highsmith being a close 2nd. His time significantly increased as the season wore on. Anyone else realize how good Prude has become? Just wanted to give props to another in a long line of defensive backs NS has developed. RP seems to have the perfect attitude and the inner makeup to play on Sundays for quite a long time. Seems like a special kid.
Agree. I think he and Joseph start at CB next year. Mario at Nickel (only because I never really saw what he had to offer). I say Joseph because we heard good things and he has already started for a 1A program as a true Frosh
I was also impressed with Chevis Jackson. I would not be surprised at all if he starts next year. He will be the next Corey Webster by the time he leaves here IMO.
Tirk, I was thinking the same thing about Prude while watching Blue Gay yesterday. Prude will also be in the NFL.
Prude has had by far his best season yet. He played quality SEC ball this year in increased playing time. If he continues to improve he could be a very good corner for us next season.
Noticeable improvement Prude has noticeably improved over his career so far. If it continues, he'll be a very good DB for the Tigers next year. :thumb:
Randall Gay missed the 1st Georgia game-at home-and Ronnie Prude stepped in and played absolutely flawless against the Dawg receivers. I've thought he was excellent from day one, it's just that he's got two future NFL cornerbacks playing in front of him.
Good thread Tirk, Prude deserves some attention and some props. He has been outstanding in both his play and his hustle/attitude. He's also a big hitter and I think due to that he has more of a future in pro ball than TD, who shies away from contact.
