This will allow McCain to start hammering the infighting democrats, who must still fight it out between them. Now, he can quit kissing the asses of the ultra right-wing conservative Republicans, they're not going to vote for Hillary or Obama. He can start kissing the asses of the independent moderates that he has alienated in the last year and a half.

Promising to appoint a moderate justice on the Supreme Court instead of another conservative or liberal ideologue will go a long way to doing that.

Isn't Huckabee still in? Glad to hear Romney is dropping out.

What will be interesting to see is what Huckabee does now. He said he wasn't dropping out but with Romney in the race, Huckabee played an important role for McCain. Huckabee helped take votes away from Romney. Now with Romney out, what purpose does Huckabee now serve for McCain?

Huckabee will drop out soon IMO.

And I've said this before on here, it's all about states and who can win which ones. IMO, if Hillary is the nominee against McCain, McCain wins a general election because she won't win one state Kerry lost and McCain will win every state Bush won. So she'll gain nothing on what Kerry did....in fact she may lose a couple more midwest states than Kerry did.

But if Obama is the nominee, McCain will be in trouble and especially in the northeast and the south. Obama may win a couple of southern states.....Hillary will win NONE.....including Arkansas.

McCain vs. Hillary-----McCain wins with more than 50% of the vote.

    McCain vs. Obama------very very close.
