Please, let's avoid the typical CB66 response of, "Well, I am doing it to ensure that Ku Kux Klansmen aren't allowed to control the state for the next 4 years."

Let's hear why YOUR candidate is going to be the best governor, what he/she will do for the state SPECIFICALLY, and not in comparison to another candidate...

Strictly speak about YOUR OWN CANDIDATE, and not the other...

It's a shame I have to lay down all these ground rules...

    Jindel

I'm tired of Louisiana recycling politicians year after year.
    Politics as usual.
Politicians work the system and wait their turn.
    Louisiana has no national respect.

Jindel is a breath of fresh air for Louisiana.
He is extremely intelligent and not your usual or typical candidate.

    TuWho?

You must admit, I don't back away from my candidates once I begin backing them...

You have to give me that...

Jindal, because he is much more likely than Blanco to make cuts to our out-of-control state budget.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: Louisiana and Colorado are about the same population and Colorado is a bit larger geographically. Louisiana's annual state budget is nearly FOUR TIMES the annual state budget of Colorado. Does this make sense to ANYONE?

Spending cuts must be made. We have to be more efficient and get more bang for our buck. We need to streamline and overhaul education at all levels. Jindal's success in doing this when he was head of DHH gives me hope that he will do the same in other areas. I also think he will help economic development by applying the recommendations of economic experts. Tax cuts and awards need to be made in certain areas. I'm not talking about giving businesses a "free ride"; you have to be smart about stimulating local business and attracting industries from out of state. But we need to at least make our business tax code competitive with those of other states. Cutting taxes and phasing out a few "ticky-tack" fees would be a welcome start. I also think he will also sell our state in ways Mike Foster never did, by actually going out of his way to welcome them. Once we're moving forward on controlling spending and making the state more business friendly and diversifying our economy (Louisiana has GOT to stop putting all of it's eggs in one basket. The petro-chemical industry is dead people!), then we can start making major infrastructure improvements, especially to our seaports and highways. Free trade for the whole Western Hemisphere is coming folks, and there is nothing anybody can do to stop it. Might as well have a world-class seaport to give us some jobs and make sure those goods flow through Louisiana ports and roads.

I just haven't been impressed by anything Blanco has said. We need a shake-up in the way we do things in Louisiana. I just don't see Blanco as much of a boat-rocker. I see her as the one who will be content to just continue to do what we've been doing for the last 25 years. And we can't do that anymore.

Bestbank, I would start with the BOARDS.

We have a freaking COSMETOLOGY BOARD in Louisiana. We have a board ONLY FOR PRIVATE DETECTIVES. We have levee boards in every parish, etc etc. These things should be left to other offices.

What is the problem with having a board only for Private Detectives? Would you rather have a bunch of investigators running around with no license? I suggest you know what you are talking about before you say some dumbass comment. We have a board because it is needed. Not only that, but many other states have started boards because of ours. If you dont like the fact that we have a PI board you can move to Mississippi. You also must be a bald man complaning about a cosmetology board?????? I like the fact that when I go to get a haircut the person that cuts it has a license and has been to a school of some sort.
